Athanasios George Kontogiannis has been a member of the Albany Chapter #140 of the Order of AHEPA for 44 years.

 

  A native of Tirnavos Thessaly, Greece, he is married with three grown children and four grandchildren. He has been in the real estate development business for 36 years.

 

  His family has established an endowment fund for child cancer at Albany Medical Center, and he has inspired his AHEPA chapter, together with the Daughters of Penelope Alope Chapter #158, the Sons of Pericles, and the Maids of Athena to sponsor fundraisers and dedicate a treatment room at the hospital.

 

  Athanasios is grateful for the opportunity America has given him to be of service to his church, his community, and to the Order of AHEPA.
