A Message from the
District Governor...
Dear
Brothers,
We
have
been off to a very busy 2010 so far. The first announcement I have
is that the District 6 Scholarship page has been updated with links to
this year's District 6 and AHEPA National scholarships. Please inform
all District 6 members that it is posted and to visit the site to
download and complete the applications before the deadlines.
The second announcement I have is that thanks to the hard work of
Bro. Paris Karounos, we will be having a District 6 Golf outing this
year. It will take place on Monday May 17, 2010 at the Pelham Bay Golf
Course. There will be lots of fun events for everyone there and a flier
will be sent out shortly with all the details. Please mark your
calendars for that day and I hope to see as many of our Brothers there.
The third and final announcement I have for this month is the NYC
Greek Independence Day Parade will be taking place on Sunday April 18,
2010. As you may know, the Districts from NY, NJ and Connecticut along
with the Daughters of Penelope raise funds to cover the costs of having
an AHEPA float in the parade. While we know that economic times are
tough, we kindly ask every District 6 Chapter and Brother to do their
best and contribute what they can. We NEED your support in order to
help cover the costs of the parade. The parade is a beautiful event to
show our Greek-American pride as well as showcasing the great AHEPA
Family that we all are a part of. Please visit our News and Events
section to find out how to make donations for the parade.
We will be announcing shortly our venues for our Spring
Conference as well as the District 6 Convention so please check this
webpage often. I hope everyone is as excited as I am about all our
events for the year and keep that membership drive going!
