District 6
News
1) We
are in need of donations from our District 6 Brothers and Chapters to
help cover the costs of the NYC Greek Independence Day. We also are
still accepting donations for the 2009 District 6 AHEPA Family
Christmas party. ONLY 2
Chapters have sent in donations for the Christmas party!!! While we all
know that times are tough economically, we would ask that everyone
please try to contribute what they can as every contribution makes a
big difference. We need everyone's support to cover these costs
otherwise we will not be able to succeed in our missions as AHEPANs.
PLEASE spread the word to ALL DISTRICT 6 Brothers. To make donations
for the Christmas Party and the NYC Greek Independence Day Parade,
please make your checks(if possible, for our accounting purposes,
please send 2 seperate checks indicating the donations to the Christmas
Party and the Greek Parade) out to Ahepa Empire District 6 and
mail to:

2) The
Scholarships Page has been updated with links to the District 6 and
AHEPA National Scholarship applications. Please inform all interested
Chapter members to download and complete the applications prior to the
deadline dates posted below in the Events section.
3) On Saturday February 6, 2010 the Albany Sons
of Pericles and Maids of Athena will have
their annual Valentine's Dance at St. Sophia
Church in Albany. The dance will start at 8 pm and there will be live
Greek music by the Aegeans. This dance is a highly anticipated event in
the Greek
Orthodox community, and is well attended by communities throughout the
United
States. For

The Albany AHEPA will be sponsoring a breakfast for the benefit of the
St.
Sophia Afternoon Greek School on Sunday, February 7 immediately
following
church services in celebration of the Three Hierarchs and Greek Letters
Day.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 8 to 18. Kids ages 7
and
under are free. For more information, please read the flyer posted on
